Icons - Portfolio Examples
Though Icons are often quite small elements of site design, they can be an important feature in creating the feel of a site. Their design comes down to website design and preferences.
If icons are going to be important as part of the design of a site, it's often a good idea to design them in the early stages of site development, as they may contribute greatly to the look and feel of the pages. A good concept for site icons may well end up driving the theme of the rest of the site graphics.
I can create them as part of a Site Design job, or for an existing site either to give it a lift, or to draw attention to new layouts. Sizes also vary - the samples below are shown at 125px and 100px for the purpose of viewing - they would be smaller when integrated with the design of a site.
I work very closely with the client when designing icons and buttons for a site, mainly because of the design issues indicated above, and because they can have a great impact on the loook and feel of a site.
